Blood Collection Staff – Customer Service

Job Summary
Conduct mobile blood drives by transporting and setting up equipment at collection sites in Michigan communities. Personally connect with volunteer donors, listen to their stories, and create a welcoming environment while collecting lifesaving blood donations. Drive Red Cross vehicles to reach businesses, schools, and other locations, ensuring all safety procedures and regulatory requirements are followed during the process. Collaborate with teammates to tear down equipment after each drive and maintain detailed records to ensure donations are safely transfused. Variable schedule including rotating weekends, early mornings, late nights, and holidays; overnight travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Reside in one of the following locations in Michigan: Port Huron, Marysville, St. Clair, Marine City, Algonac, New Baltimore, Richmond, Chesterfield, New Haven, or Yale
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Current, valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Adaptability to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes
- Minimum height of 60 inches
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft office applications
- Variable schedule availability including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Overnight travel availability
Desired Qualifications
- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)
- Prior leadership experience
