Job Summary
Connect with donors, listen to their stories, and explain the impact of their donation while maintaining a welcoming environment for repeat visits. Collaborate with teammates to transport and setup equipment at mobile collection sites in local communities, ensuring all safety procedures are followed during the collection of lifesaving blood donations. Drive Red Cross vehicles to reach businesses, schools, and other locations, adhering to a variable schedule that includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Current, valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Adaptability to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes
- Minimum height of 60 inches
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft office applications
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Ability to work early mornings, late nights, and variable schedules
- Ability to work overnight travel in some locations
- Ability to setup and tear down equipment at donation sites
- Ability to collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors
- Ability to personally connect with donors and listen to their stories
- Ability to follow all safety procedures while collecting blood donations
- Ability to transport and setup equipment at collection sites in local communities
