Job Summary
Connect with donors, listen to their stories, and explain the impact of their donation while maintaining a welcoming environment. Collaborate with teammates to transport and setup equipment at local collection sites, ensuring all safety procedures are followed during blood collection. Drive Red Cross vehicles to mobile locations, managing setup and teardown of necessary equipment for drives at businesses and schools. Maintain detailed records to ensure donations meet regulatory requirements for safe transfusion. This role requires a minimum height of 60 inches and valid driver's license, with a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Current, valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Adaptability to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes
- Minimum height of 60 inches
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft office applications
- Ability to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work overnight travel in some locations
- Ability to setup and tear down equipment at donation sites
Desired Qualifications
- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)
- Prior leadership experience
