Job Summary
Transport and setup blood collection equipment at mobile drive sites in local communities, collaborating with team members to create a welcoming environment for volunteer donors. Collect lifesaving blood donations while adhering to all safety procedures and regulatory requirements, ensuring samples meet standards for hospital transfusion. Personally connect with donors by listening to their stories and explaining the impact of their contributions. Maintain detailed orientation throughout the day to support accurate data collection and compliance. This role includes paid phlebotomy training and offers a starting rate of $25/hour. Staff work a variable schedule that may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays, with overnight travel required in some locations. The position requires a Class A or B CDL, DOT certification, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Current, valid driver's license with Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Good driving record
- Experience driving large vehicles
- DOT certification
- Ability to pass applicable DOT physical
- Medical certification of at least one-year duration
- Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes
- Minimum height of 60 inches
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft office applications
- Availability for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Availability for overnight travel in some locations
- Ability to work a variable schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)
- Prior leadership experience
