Job Summary
Process meat products using hand tools, knives, and machinery while maintaining safety standards and quality on the production line. Perform essential tasks requiring continuous movement, grasping, and repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs in a physically demanding environment. Work in cold and warm areas wearing hard hats, hearing protection, and steel-toed safety shoes while handling sanitation chemicals and animal carcass parts. Stand on concrete and platforms for up to a 12-hour shift, following oral and written instructions to ensure efficient product delivery.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Willing and able to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Willing and able to perform a task requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms
- Willing and able to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift
- Willing and able to work around animal blood and/or carcass parts
- Willing and able to work with a knife (if trained)
- Willing and able to work in cold areas (approximately 20-40 degrees) and/or warm areas (over 100 degrees)
- Willing and able to work in an environment that is wet and humid
- Willing and able to work while wearing a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes
- Willing and able to work in a noisy environment using personal protective equipment
- Willing and able to work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals
- Willing and able to work around strong smells/odors
- Willing and able to climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways and platforms
- Willing and able to bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift
- Willing and able to walk long distances
- Willing and able to perform some or all body parts and muscle groups for physically demanding tasks
- Willing and able to perform repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs
- Willing and able to perform single lifting of heavy objects which can weigh up to 60 lbs
- Willing and able to perform lifting of objects using mechanical assistance
- Willing and able to work their scheduled shift
- Willing and able to work overtime depending on production demands
- May require certification in order to operate various pieces of equipment required for the position
