Job Summary
Blaster/Painter in an industrial setting responsible for blasting and painting according to customer specifications, preparing equipment and work area, and maintaining tools. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year blasting/painting experience, and adherence to safety rules and PPE. Duties include pre-inspection of equipment, equipment/material preparation, performing blasting/painting, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and completing required training and background checks per employer policies. Work involves exposure to fumes/chemicals, loud environments, and physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, with frequent standing and climbing, in wet/humid conditions; location options include onshore (Gray, LA) and offshore/gulf of Mexico settings. Supervisors to whom the role reports include foreman, supervisor, or superintendent.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent education
- 1+ year of blasting/painting experience in an industrial setting
- Basic written and verbal skills
- Ability to perform work accurately
- Must be reliable and have good time management skills
- For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
- For new hires, must successfully complete all required training by Performance Energy Services
