Job Summary
Blaster in Production Paint loads/unloads abrasive materials into blasting equipment and operates sandblasting processes to remove rust, paint, and dirt from hard surfaces. Responsible for proper setup and maintenance of blasting machinery, inspecting surfaces after blasting for required specifications, and adhering to safety protocols and PPE. Requires ability to read blueprints/schematics, follow Lean Manufacturing and 6-S procedures, and collaborate with teammates. Physical work includes walking, bending, lifting (up to 100 lbs with team lift), and exposure to hazardous materials; shifts include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. Reports to Manager- Paint in Ponca City, OK.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 0-2 years of related industrial painting experience; 2-5 yrs. preferred
- Ability to learn blueprint reading and interpretation
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs with team assistance
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- In-person, predictable attendance
