Job Summary
Blaster role focused on preparing landing gear components for plating and refinishing by blasting away paint and surface contaminants. Responsibilities include precisely blasting designated areas, performing blasting operations for cadmium and other coatings (including Fun Nital), operating and maintaining blasting equipment per procedures and safety regulations, inspecting surfaces post-blast to ensure readiness for chrome, nickel, and other plating processes, keeping the work area clean, and supporting production goals as directed by supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience or training in blasting or surface preparation
- Experience in aerospace or landing gear components
- Knowledge of plating processes and industry safety standards
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed
