Job Summary
Abrasive Blasters will be trained in surface preparation techniques using company-provided blast equipment to create an optimal coating adhesion profile on steel structures. Training covers use, maintenance, and safe operation of blast equipment. Blasters must learn to perform blast operations safely in environments including tanks, voids, and elevated heights with staging, scaffolding, and lifting equipment such as hoists and scissor lifts. The role emphasizes hands-on training, outdoor year-round work, and the ability to meet physical requirements (lifting, kneeling, bending, climbing) across multiple shifts. Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
- Must be able to perform kneeling, squatting, crawling, bending, stooping, and climbing on a daily basis
- Must be clean shaven to wear a respirator
- Must be able to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
- Must be able to work at extreme heights
- Must be able to work in small, tight, confined spaces
- Must be able to work any shift to accommodate production needs
- Must have US Citizenship
