Job Summary
Blast Associate Technical Lead at AECOM to join the Building Engineering Division, based in a UK office. Lead blast protection design and CFD modelling, oversee project delivery and quality assurance, engage with clients and sector leads, contribute to business development, and manage threat assessments and documentation. Key duties include CFD modelling and complex structural analysis, developing concept/design schemes, tender management, and presenting to stakeholders. Required skills include expertise in blast analysis/design, CFD/finite element modelling (ANSYS, AutoDyn), security solution know-how (doors, walls, glazing, fencing), risk and vulnerability analyses, strong writing and communication abilities, project management, and the ability to hold security clearance. Preferred qualifications include security/engineering certifications and experience with AutoCAD and Revit. Hybrid work model available with offices in the UK. All roles involve engagement with clients, stakeholders, and senior-level professionals across a range of buildings and infrastructures.
Required Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in a security or engineering-related discipline
- Professional certifications such as RSES, CSyP, PSP, MSyl
- Experience using AutoCAD and Revit
- The ability to hold or obtain Security Clearance
