Job Summary
Blast Associate Technical Lead in AECOM’s Building Engineering Division (UK office, hybrid). Lead the design and protection engineering for blast scenarios, including CFD modelling and structural analysis, while delivering project plans, quality assurance, and employer’s requirements documentation. Collaborate with security and structural teams, engage clients and sector leads, contribute to business development and risk assessments, manage projects and tender processes, and mentor team members with a strong focus on safety, environment, and governance.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in a security or engineering-related discipline
- Professional certifications such as RSES, CSyP, PSP, MSyl
- Experience using AutoCAD and Revit
- A broad technical knowledge of security with in-depth expertise in blast analysis and design
- Proficiency with ANSYS, AutoDyn, or similar software for advanced 3D finite element modelling and fluid-structure interaction
- Strong technical and design skills in structural design and security assessment
- Excellent document writing skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Solid project management capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
