Job Summary
Blast Hole Drill Operator responsible for safely performing all quarry/construction drilling activities per the job program, following safety policies, and maximizing drill-pattern efficiency. Responsibilities include daily maintenance for safe operation of equipment, understanding drill patterns and layouts with the Blaster Foreman, inventorying drill accessories, communicating terrain and issues to the Blasting Supervisor, completing drill reports and signed timecards via the Field Accounting system, participating in Foreman/safety/job meetings, and working unsupervised with safe practices. Requires drilling experience, mechanical aptitude, ability to lift 50-100 lbs., and the eligibility to complete Driller I/II training; position located on-site in Raleigh, NC with benefits including ESOP and 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years hydraulic equipment operating experience
- Valid Driver's License with own reliable transportation
- Must have personal cell phone for communications
- One year experience in the construction industry
- Experience as a construction laborer
- Must hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operation
- Mechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must successful complete background screening for ATF
