Job Summary
Blade Repair Technician Level 2-3 for Rope Access conducting turbine blade repairs on wind projects across North America. Responsibilities include performing blade repair tasks with rope access, adhering to safety protocols, utilizing PPE, and mobilizing to travel assignments with paid per diem and company-provided logistics. Role supports lead technician pathways and on-site safety support, with training and certification coverage including GWO BST/BTT, IRATA or SPRAT, OSHA 10, and blade-specific LOTO certifications. Requires ability to climb up to 300 feet, lift 75 lbs, and work in extreme conditions; must be ready to mobilize immediately and have a valid driver’s license. Opportunities for advancement to lead technician, site supervisor, trainer, or mentor roles; company provides PPE, tools, vehicles or travel coordination, and on-site safety support.
Required Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- GWO BST — current in WINDA
- GWO BTT — electrical, hydraulic, mechanical
- IRATA or SPRAT — current
- OSHA 10 General Industry
- SGRE Blade C or D certificate
- GE NAM Blade LOTO certificate
- Valid driver's license
- Ready to mobilize immediately
- 5+ years composite blade repair experience (preferred)
- Epoxy/polyester resins, wet lay-up, vacuum bag techniques (preferred)
- Balsa and foam core materials (preferred)
- Fiberglass reinforcement and structural repair (preferred)
- Technical drawing interpretation (preferred)
- 360-degree and 2M basket platform experience (preferred)
- Able to climb 300 feet, lift 75 lbs, work in extreme conditions (preferred)
- Clean MVR required (preferred)
