Job Summary
Lead and support development and deployment of blade repair technologies and tooling for GE Vernova Wind Service OM&U. Drive lean initiatives to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, & Cost. Serve as the primary liaison between Global Wind Services OM&U and Wind Engineering in Blade Repair programs; lead validations, establish sites, logistics, and data reporting. Establish global training requirements and curriculum, lead global training sessions, and manage deployment plans including cost/benefit, procurement, and maintenance protocols. Provide technical direction including off-hour remote and on-site support to ensure tasks are completed safely and with quality. Lead continuous improvement/lean efforts (Kaizens, PSRs) and develop new repair processes; coordinate cross-functional teamwork and regional operation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Wind industry experience)
- Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time, which includes international travel and must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies
- Lean, Six Sigma certification or equivalent quality certification
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
- Proficiency in technical writing and process documentation
- Project coordination / Change Management / Influencing / Leadership skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter and able to work with limited supervision
