Job Summary
Blade Operator - Civil Construction to operate heavy equipment and machinery for applying asphalt products on civil construction projects. Responsibilities include following Foreman/Superintendent directions, maintaining safety and clear job-site practices, coordinating with the paver operator, truck drivers, and general laborers, and assisting in equipment maintenance and setup/teardown. The role involves reporting problems, maintaining equipment, and representing the company to customers and the public while adhering to SDS-based material handling, safety policies, and job-site coordination with contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
- Six (6) months to one (1) year related experience is preferred
- Ability to speak read and write English is preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license
- A CDL license is preferred and may even be required for some departments/divisions
