Job Summary
A Blade/Motor Grader Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating motor graders to grade and level surfaces on construction projects. The operator must have a thorough understanding of grader functions and be able to work effectively in various weather conditions. Key responsibilities include adjusting blade angles to achieve precise grading results, communicating with other crew members, performing routine maintenance tasks on the grader, and completing required paperwork. This role requires strong mechanical skills, regular travel throughout Minnesota and the Dakotas, and the ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License, preferably Class A
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Previous heavy equipment operator experience
- Strong mechanic skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities
