Job Summary
Inspires students to explore creativity and self-expression through theatrical arts by planning and delivering engaging drama lessons, developing performance skills, and fostering appreciation for theatre while supporting students' personal, social, and emotional growth. Maintains current teaching certification and highly qualified status under No Child Left Behind guidelines, uses a variety of instructional techniques and media aligned with state standards, writes daily and long-term lesson plans, utilizes technology to enhance learning, maintains accurate records, and collaborates with the principal and district staff to ensure effective instruction and safety. The role emphasizes classroom management, assessment of student progress, and effective communication with parents.
Required Qualifications
- South Carolina certification in Theatre/Fine Arts or valid certification required with a strong GPA in relevant coursework
- Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching practices
- Familiar with educational technology tools
- Strong classroom management skills and a growth-oriented mindset
