Job Summary
Conduct pump, unit open/inspections, and rebuilds in accordance with Blackmer drawings and process specifications. Maintain tools, safety equipment, instruments, and materials specific to pump, motor, and equipment maintenance. Operate hand and power tools to construct, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment while performing cleaning and lubricating tasks. Paint and prime products per customer and government specifications. Properly store, use, and dispose of waste and HAZMAT in accordance with local, state regulations, and company policy. Observe safe work practices, follow all safety rules, and adhere to Lock-out/Tag-out procedures. This role involves approximately 90% shop and 10% field repair activity.
Required Qualifications
- United States Citizen/ Permanent residence
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- Working knowledge of all tools and measuring devices required for pump repair
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures or governmental regulations
- Effectively communicate by responding to questions from groups of managers, engineers, and other customers
- Read and interpret drawings of technical information and government contracts
- Proficient in all Shop Processes and Procedures
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
Desired Qualifications
- Military experience highly preferred
- Technical problem-solving skills
- Reasoning ability to interpret Variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and Scheduling forms
- Impeccable organization and efficiency skills
- Strong attention to detail
