Job Summary
Provide special education instruction for 6th–8th grade students, developing or modifying curricula and preparing lessons aligned with students’ IEP goals. Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD, implement instructional or therapeutic programs, assess learning styles, modify regular curricula as needed, supervise and coordinate with teacher aides/volunteers, and participate in staff development, meetings, and committees. Maintain open communication with families and ensure adherence to district/school regulations and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignment
- Knowledge of ARD Committee process and IEP goal setting process and implementation
- Experience: Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
