Job Summary
Lead design and development of Body Structure (BIW) projects from concept through SOP milestone, creating master sections, packaging, and feasibility studies. Deliver CAD sheet metal designs while optimizing for weight reduction, cost efficiency, and manufacturability without compromising structural integrity. Collaborate with Project Lead, Manufacturing, and Supplier Engineering teams to ensure design convergence and feasibility, providing CAE-based design solutions and maintaining comprehensive documentation including BOMs, drawings, and change logs. Requires proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, GD&T, DFA, and DFM, along with hands-on experience using Teamcenter and ENOVIA.
Required Qualifications
- B.E.
- Strong technical skills in sheet metal manufacturing and body assembly processes
- Good knowledge of GD&T, sheet metal tolerancing, DFA, and DFM
- Hands-on experience working with PLM tools such as Teamcenter and ENOVIA
- Basic understanding of structural analysis and CAE tools/delivery
- Proficiency in using CATIA V5 & V6 for design and development
- Experience with ENOVIA PLM for managing product lifecycle and part release
- 3-6 years
