Job Summary
Greet and seat guests, service food and beverage requirements, and clear tables to maintain a warm, friendly, and professional atmosphere. Clear and reset tables as needed, prepare the buffet station, and ensure it is stocked with silverware, plates, and glassware. Carry out cashiering functions, answer telephone inquiries, and perform opening and closing procedures according to station rotation assignments. Maintain high standards of personal appearance, comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, and accommodate special guest requests. Work in the Bistro at the Courtyard Downtown Salt Lake City, which offers flexible spaces, free Wi-Fi, and easy access to the Vivint Smart Home Arena and Salt Palace Convention Center.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
