Job Summary
Contribute to food service operations by assisting in all kitchen activities including preparation, cooking, and storage of food, as well as maintaining sanitation standards. Physically deliver food products according to restaurant standards while conducting yourself in a clean and safe manner to maintain a professional atmosphere. Prepare dishes with creative flair and meet special requests presented by guests, remaining knowledgeable of ingredients to comply with specific dietary requirements. This part-time role requires flexible schedule availability including days, evenings, and weekends, with holiday coverage required except for Christmas. Morning shifts are for experienced cooks with a restaurant background, while afternoon shifts suit early-career cooks with at least six months of hands-on experience.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months minimum of cooking experience in a high volume restaurant or bistro environment
- Knowledge of sanitation, cooking methods (i.e. sautéing and grilling) and knife skills
- Flexible schedule required, including days, evenings, and weekends
- Holiday coverage is required except for Christmas
- Local board of Health ServSafe Certification
Desired Qualifications
