Job Summary
Greet and seat guests, service food and beverage requests, and clear tables while maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming. Prepare buffet stations, ensure proper stock levels, and answer telephone inquiries according to Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Perform cashiering functions, manage opening and closing procedures, and complete end-of-shift paperwork while adhering to POS system operations. Accommodate special guest requests and maintain composure in high-pressure situations. Work flexible shifts varying by hotel needs, with daily pay available for full-time hires. Located near the University of Illinois and Parkland College in Champaign, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
