Job Summary
Bistro Attendant at Courtyard Fort Lauderdale East/Lauderdale-By-The-Sea — Take food and beverage orders, serve alcohol and beverages, prepare checks, assist in dining room operations, and ensure guest satisfaction in a hotel restaurant. Responsibilities include taking orders, delivering food and drinks, handling payments, greeting guests, answering phones for reservations, restocking service areas, presenting menus, describing menu items and wine selections, and maintaining a clean dining area. Must be able to verify age for alcohol service, have strong English skills, and be TIPS/CARE certified (or equivalent) by start date. Prior guest/customer relations experience and ability to use a POS system are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) or Work Equivalent
- TIPS certification or CARE (or equivalent) certification preferred
- Must be able to input and access information in property management system/computers/point of sale system
- Must have good understanding of the English language and previous guest/customer relations training
