Job Summary
Direct the overall operation of the Bistro in collaboration with the Executive Chef, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. Plan, develop, organize, and implement the EPIC food and beverage service program to maximize customer satisfaction. Coordinate food-related activities with other departments, develop written policies and procedures, and perform administrative duties including completing forms and reports. Supervise Bistro personnel by overseeing hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Requires ServSafe Manager and Allergen training, plus Starbucks Barista certification. Part-time role with no late nights.
Required Qualifications
- ServSafe Manager and Allergen Trained
- Starbucks Barista trained
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide Bistro services
- Must be knowledgeable of food service laws, regulations and guidelines governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities and food service establishments
- Good leadership skills
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement, and interpret program goals and objectives
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with residents, families, physicians, and staff
