Job Summary
Bismuth Operator responsible for daily production duties within the assigned area, including mica preparation, finishing, blending, packaging, repack, and WM/Bismuth production. Perform process chemicals handling via standard operating procedures on equipment (reactors, filters, kilns, centrifuge, pumps), ensuring safe, environmentally compliant operation and high-quality yields. Monitor and maintain equipment, conduct laboratory tests (pH, temperature, particle analysis), and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using CIP for BPS and 5S/L&SS projects. Support training for Operator I/II, and work on a rotating 12-hour swing schedule (5x12s) in extreme climates; ability to move heavy objects and navigate stairs. Must possess a High School/GED and be proficient in basic math, with Lean Six Sigma and ISO exposure.
Required Qualifications
- High School / GED degree
- At least three years of Chemical Operations experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Proficient in the use of normal computer hardware/software
- Solid understanding and application of basic math skills
- Exposure to Lean Six Sigma and ISO certification
