Job Summary
Develop and implement Individual Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, adapting instructional plans to match curricular goals and developmental levels. Provide direct special education instruction in classroom and home settings while assisting students with personal tasks such as eating and toileting. Monitor student progress, document records in compliance with state and federal guidelines, and communicate educational updates to parents through written reports. Act as a case coordinator by consulting with community caregivers and school support professionals to meet individual needs. Maintain strong relationships with multiple agencies while building capacity to travel to various locations.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed EC or BK Teacher
- Ability to travel to multiple locations
- Able to build and maintain strong relationships with multiple agencies
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of EC policies and procedures including providing services, documenting progress, and referrals
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding students identified as an individual with a disability
- Ability to develop and implement the Individual Education Program (IEP)
- Ability to develop lesson plans, adapt materials, and design activities
- Ability to monitor students' progress
- Ability to maintain EC records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Ability to communicate with parents regarding their children's educational progress
- Ability to act as a case coordinator for assigned students
- Ability to consult with community caregivers, school support professionals, and parents
- Ability to follow a plan for professional development
- Ability to demonstrate evidence of growth
