Job Summary
Create an inviting learning environment following the Creative Curriculum and state standards while developing daily lesson plans tailored to individual student needs. Assess progress through anecdotal records and provide materials addressing social, physical, emotional, and intellectual requirements. Coordinate teacher assistants, parents, and volunteers for daily activities, enriching the program with field trips and community visits. Maintain accurate legal records, communicate regularly with parents via conferences and journals, and assist with student screening for Pre-K enrollment. Participate in professional development and collaborate with community agencies to support educationally disadvantaged children.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Birth to Kindergarten
- Must be eligible for a B-K license in North Carolina
- Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines including computers, calculators, printers, copiers, etc.
- Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
