Job Summary
Complete birth, death, and fetal death certificates in accordance with State guidelines, including Paternity Affidavit services and patient demographic updates. Submit monthly reports to the State Vital Statistics Department and assist with scanning for chart completion. Manage inventory and supply orders for staff. This onsite position at UAB Medical West Hospital in Bessemer, AL, requires an 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM CT, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- 3 years of relevant equivalent experience in lieu of Diploma / GED
- 1-3+ year's experience in office, business, operations, customer service or healthcare field
- Monday through Friday
- Onsite based at UAB Medical West Hospital
- Bessemer, AL
- 8 hour shift between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM CT
Desired Qualifications
- One-year medical record experience
- Notary License
