Job Summary

Biospecimen Coordinator for the Tara Miller Melanoma Center within Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center. Responsible for coordinating biospecimens for translational research projects and the biospecimen repository, overseeing patient accrual and enrollment, managing biospecimen collections, maintaining ongoing projects, and assisting with regulatory and compliance activities. Duties include screening provider schedules for new study participants, facilitating informed consent, enrolling patients into PennChart and PennCRMS databases, coordinating biospecimen collection with labs and clinical staff, distributing biospecimens to collaborating labs, recording collections and distributions in databases, managing biospecimen inventory, updating study calendars and project databases, drafting progress reports, and assisting with IRB, CTRSMC, and other regulatory documentation. Position contingent upon funding. Proficiency with regulatory processes and data tools, and ability to work with research teams in a clinical research environment are expected.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
