Job Summary
Bioprocess Engineer for USP/DSP in Visp to lead GMP manufacturing of therapeutic proteins using mammalian or microbial systems. Responsible for preparation, manufacturing execution, cleaning and changeover in the assigned area, and acting as the functional lead for one or more USP areas (seed train, main cultivation or harvest) and one or more DSP areas (gain, polishing or filling) for purification of therapeutic proteins. Requires Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences (or a Bachelor’s with relevant pharma production experience), GMP expertise, and knowledge of USP/DSP units. Must have strong English communication skills; German is advantageous. The role is fully site-based in Visp, with relocation assistance available.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related Life Science subject
- Bachelor’s holder with experience in pharma production
- GMP experience and understanding of bioprocess technology
- Knowledge in USP or DSP units (e.g. bioreactors, chromatography)
- Couple of years working experience in biomanufacturing
- Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are advantageous
