Job Summary
Biopharmaceutical Account Manager (Remote) responsible for managing the sales process selling direct materials into the biopharma market, building and managing an active pipeline from origination to close, and delivering presentations to customers and distributor partners. The role requires territory management with travel to visit customers, developing relationships with internal and external customers, achieving year-over-year sales and gross margin targets, and experience selling to Director/VP level decision makers in regulated markets (cGMP, ISO, change control). Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to analyze profitability and develop accounts from R&D to Production are needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as chemistry or biology
- 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or life science industries
- Previous sales experience selling chemicals, media, life science tools, excipients to life science focused markets
- Network of industry contacts to support growth goals
- Ability to travel domestically for sales activities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience selling to Director and VP level decision makers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Oracle ERP familiarity is a plus
- Experience in regulated markets with cGMP, ISO, and change control processes/oversight
