Job Summary
Biometric Technician (BT) on-call supporting USCIS ASC operations in San Diego, CA. Primary responsibilities include biometric registration for applicants pursuing legal immigration, capturing electronic fingerprints, photographs, and signatures, enforcing facility rules, screening for valid appointments and IDs, safeguarding PII, providing front-line customer service, maintaining processing times, and assisting with visitor control and administrative duties as needed. Required Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
- US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to speak and write in English
- Ability to stand upright on one’s feet for scheduled shift duration
- Ability to hold and grasp applicant’s hands to obtain quality fingerprints
- Ability to work in a high paced environment with the public
- Ability to type and use basic computer skills
- Successful completion of the biometrics training and become certified within sixty days
