Job Summary
Biometric Technician (BT) on-call at USCIS ASC in Aurora, CO. Primary duties include completing biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration, capturing fingerprints, photographs, and signatures within processing times, screening entrants with focus on security and ensuring PII protection, providing frontline customer service, and assisting with administrative tasks. The role requires the ability to work with the public in a high-paced environment, maintain facility credentials/authorization (US citizenship required for credentials at this site), and complete biometrics training within sixty days. Hours are on-call with no guaranteed schedule, typically Monday–Friday 7:45am–4:15pm for substitute coverage. Compensation is $22.13 per hour. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to speak and write in English
- Ability to stand upright on one’s feet for scheduled shift duration
- Ability to hold and grasp applicant’s hands to obtain quality fingerprints
- Successful completion of the biometrics training and become certified within sixty days
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization; US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location
