Job Summary
Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States by capturing electronic fingerprints, photographs, and signatures. Screen applicants entering the facility to ensure they have valid appointment notices and identification, while utilizing crowd control barriers to maintain safe and organized entry. Provide front-line customer service with a cheerful demeanor, safeguarding personal identifiable information and conducting periodic interior and exterior facility checks. Assist site supervisors and immigration officers in enforcing USCIS rules, managing administrative paperwork, and contacting law enforcement when necessary. This on-call position supports USCIS Application Support Center operations in Tustin, CA, requiring flexibility for substitute coverage from 7:45am to 4:15pm Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
- US Citizenship
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to speak and write in English
- Ability to stand upright on one's feet for scheduled shift duration, excluding meals and breaks
- Ability to hold and grasp applicant's hands to obtain quality fingerprints
- Ability to work in a high paced environment with the public
- Ability to type and use basic computer skills
- Successful completion of the biometrics training and become certified within sixty days
- Must be able to speak a foreign language
