Job Summary
Complete biometrics registration for immigration applicants by capturing electronic fingerprints, photographs, and signatures. Ensure facility security by screening entrants for valid appointments, managing crowd control, and safeguarding personal identifiable information. Provide front-line customer service to the public while maintaining a cheerful demeanor and enforcing USCIS policies. Perform periodic interior and exterior facility checks, reporting concerns to the Site Supervisor. Assist law enforcement or first responders when necessary and manage administrative paperwork for processing times and visitor logs. This casual on-call position requires availability Monday through Friday from 7:45am to 4:15pm for substitute coverage as needed, with no guaranteed hours. US citizenship is required for facility credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
- US Citizenship
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to speak and write in English
- Ability to stand upright on one's feet for scheduled shift duration, excluding meals and breaks
- Ability to hold and grasp applicant's hands to obtain quality fingerprints
- Ability to work in a high paced environment with the public
- Ability to type and use basic computer skills
- Successful completion of the biometrics training and become certified within sixty days
- Must be able to speak a foreign language
