Job Summary
Repair, maintain, and conduct preventive maintenance on various electro-medical equipment and hemodialysis and water treatment systems to ensure safe and proper function for patients and users. Participate in the medical equipment management program under the direction of the IMIT and Clinical Engineering Manager. Actively promote and support patient and family-centered engagement and care while demonstrating strong organizational skills, technical intuition, and problem-solving abilities in a clinical setting. Work with other healthcare partners to contribute to the delivery of the Brockville General Hospital strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Biomedical/Clinical Engineering Technology diploma or Biomedical/Clinical Engineering degree preferred
- Canadian Biomedical Engineering Certification is an asset
- Experienced in the use of computers in a Windows environment such as spreadsheet applications and computerized databases
- Evidence of strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential
- Demonstrated technical intuition and highly developed problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong electronic troubleshooting skills
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, courteously, and tactfully with colleagues, and clients
- Self-motivated, with ability to work under pressure in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance on a regular basis
- Able to work with other healthcare partners
- Demonstrated ability to attend work regularly
