Job Summary

Biomedical Technician responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of water treatment equipment, dialysis machines, and related mechanical/electrical systems across Alaska clinics (Anchorage, Juneau, Soldotna, Fairbanks). Duties include troubleshooting and repairing equipment, calibrating/testing dialysis machines and RO/distribution systems, performing water quality checks and microbiology-related sampling, disinfecting systems per protocol, maintaining preventative maintenance programs and service records, assisting with inventory control and purchasing, ensuring patient and staff safety, complying with OSHA and MSDS requirements, and supporting staff training and team collaboration to meet clinic needs.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drivers license in applicable state
  • Ability to distinguish all primary colors
  • Ability to react and perform under stress and in emergency situations
  • Ability to communicate and interface effectively with others
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others to plan and organize work assignment
