Job Summary
Hands-on diagnostics, repair, and refurbishment of flexible endoscopes. Perform leak testing, replacement of bending rubbers, insertion tubes, and biopsy channels; repair/replacement of bending sections and angle adjustments. Rewire scopes and replace image bundles; support repairs across Olympus, Karl Storz, and Pentax platforms. Ensure repairs meet manufacturer/internal quality standards, document repair activities, and follow safety protocols. Collaborate with peers to meet turnaround time and quality goals while maintaining an organized repair workstation. Preference for experience with Olympus, Karl Storz, and Pentax scopes to support multiple scope platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience as a Biomed tech with desire to learn scope repair
- Training or experience with Olympus and Karl Storz flexible scopes (preferred)
- Experience with Pentax scopes (preferred)
- Ability to perform leak testing, bending section repairs, and channel replacements
- Experience rewiring scopes or replacing image bundles (preferred)
