Biomedical Technician III

Biomedical Technician III (BMET III) installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and verifies the performance of highly complex biomedical equipment and systems, independently of technical supervision. Advises clinical staff on safe use and operation of equipment and contributes to department improvement by mentoring other associates. Responsibilities include performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, operation verification procedures, equipment installation, repair, and calibration; coordinating with subcontractors/vendors; maintaining equipment databases and service histories; regulatory compliance with MEMP and applicable policies; and building customer relationships. Travel to sites or collaborate with central office teams as needed; maintain and grow biomedical expertise through ongoing training. Qualifications emphasize a 2-year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent experience, with TRIMEDX Trained Certification or equivalent biomedical certification as an acceptable waiver to the degree requirement; 5+ years of biomedical equipment experience; valid driver’s license; strong communication and teamwork skills.
