Job Summary
BMET II role maintains, repairs, calibrates and documents a broad range of electronic life-support and diagnostic patient care equipment. Responsibilities include assembling, maintaining, and repairing devices per specifications; supporting the facility's maintenance program; documenting activities in the computerized maintenance system; diagnosing and solving malfunctions; researching and ordering parts; providing in-service training; mentoring apprentices; coordinating OEM/vendor services; participating in on-call rotation; and collaborating with management for professional growth. Requires knowledge of electromechanical devices, patient care equipment, and adherence to safety policies; role expects teamwork and customer-focused service in a hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- two-year degree or equivalent experience
- College Degree, Technical Certification, or other higher level of education pertaining to this job description preferred
- CBET or similar preferred
