Job Summary
Biomedical Equipment Technician II responsible for cost-effective inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical devices primarily at customer sites. Performs preventive maintenance, corrective repair, and operational verification; completes paperwork and data entry for billing and regulatory compliance; communicates equipment features and functionality to clinical staff. Requires an associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology (or CBET/certifications). Must hold a current driver’s license and be willing to travel; flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support a 24/7 schedule. Location at Integris Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City, OK. Familiarity with general and specialized medical equipment across anesthesia, imaging, network-smart technology, respiratory, or sterilizer domains and ability to train others; proficient with computer systems and MS Office; adherence to equal employment opportunity policies.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology or equivalent military training or CBET certification
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide range of general equipment or demonstrated knowledge within specialized equipment areas ( anesthesia, imaging, network-smart technology, respiratory or sterilizers)
- Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license with a safe driving record per company policy
- Ability to perform calibration, inspection, maintenance, and repair of medical devices and document activities accurately for billing and regulatory compliance
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and travel periodically to support business needs
- Strong communication skills with clinical staff and ability to provide technical training to others
- Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks related to equipment handling
