Biomedical Technician

Job Summary
Biomedical Technician responsible for repair and maintenance of water treatment equipment, dialysis equipment, ancillary devices, and the facility’s physical plant under general supervision. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, patient-safety-focused quality reporting (CQI/QAI), regulatory compliance reviews (OSHA, local/state/federal requirements), and supports inventory and training activities. Acts as a trouble-shooter to identify and resolve equipment problems, coordinates with vendors for maintenance, and ensures documentation of all activities. Requires strong technical knowledge in electronics/biomedical technology, ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends/holidays, and a valid driver’s license. Relevant certifications in nephrology/biomedical instrumentation preferred (e.g., BONENT, CHT, NNCO, CBNT, WTS, AAMI, CBET). Must maintain color vision testing as a condition of employment and adhere to safety and company policies. This role may involve travel and hands-on work with dialysis-related systems and water quality processes; the organization emphasizes patient care and continuous training across technical areas.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required
- Successful completion of the Biomedical Technician Education Curriculum and Practicum
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in electronics / biomedical technology, or equivalent a plus
- Valid Driver's License issued in the employee’s state of residence required
