Job Summary
Biomedical Technician role at Fresenius Medical Care focusing on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems across clinics. Responsibilities include managing inventory and service parts, performing water/dialysate testing and trend analysis, documenting repairs, coordinating with vendors and facility staff to meet regulatory and OSHA requirements, and providing on-call technical support. Candidate will participate in training colleagues, execute initial/annual verification of testing procedures, and support safe operation of biomedical equipment with an emphasis on quality of patient care and continuous improvement. Requires a high school diploma or GED, an associate degree in electronics/biomedical technology (preferred), valid driver’s license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; prior experience in mechanical or medical technical settings is preferred. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate Degree in electronics / biomedical technology, or equivalent (preferred but not required)
- Valid Driver's License issued in the state of residence
- 1 year or less related experience (preferred)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience in mechanical, automotive, or medical technical setting (preferred)
