Job Summary
Biomedical Technician responsible for the maintenance, testing, and repair of water treatment equipment, dialysis equipment, and related medical/technical systems. Performs housekeeping and inventory tasks, participates in cost containment, and ensures safety and compliance per FMCNA policies. Maintains documentation of maintenance/repairs, conducts safety checks, calibrates/testing equipment, and provides patient-facing explanations of equipment basics when needed. Requires ability to move and handle heavy equipment (up to 600 lbs), operate in a clinical setting, and travel as needed to other facilities. Holds a High School/Vocational diploma or GED with technician training or an AA degree in electronics preferred; minimum six months of technical experience and a valid driver's license are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school/Vocational diploma or G.E.D.
- Technician training or AA Degree in electronics preferred.
- At least six months experience working in a technical (industry/hospital) setting.
- Must demonstrate organizational and leadership skills, including those required to problem-solve in a medical, health care environment.
- Valid Driver's License and/or ability to cover at other facilities and transport equipment and supplies as needed.
- Continued employment contingent upon successful completion of FMCNA Training Program for Technical Staff.
