Job Summary
Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems; maintains the facility’s physical plant; ensures outside vendor services meet contract terms; manages service parts inventory; conducts water/dialysate sample collection and action follow-up; performs regular trend analyses of water systems; documents repairs and maintenance; assists in planning and installing biomedical equipment to ensure safe operation; participates in monthly technical/regulatory meetings; collaborates with staff to meet OSHA and regulatory requirements; manages inventory logistics and on-site/on-call technical coverage; completes required training programs and supports a safe, compliant clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree in electronics / biomedical technology, or equivalent (preferred but not required)
- Valid Driver's License issued in the employee’s state of residence
- Successful completion of Fresenius Biomedical Technician training within the first 24 months of service
- Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools and small power equipment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move equipment safely
- Experience in mechanical, automotive, or construction settings preferred but not required
