Job Summary

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems within kidney care clinics. Perform initial and annual verification of patient care staff's technique for testing water systems, conducting daily, weekly, and monthly trend analysis to assure system functions as designed. Manage inventory of service parts, including receiving deliveries, performing counts, and transporting goods between clinics. Document all repairs and maintenance activities while ensuring regulatory and OSHA requirements are met. Provide scheduled after-hour technical on-call coverage for clinics as needed. Collaborate with facility staff and participate in monthly technical and regulatory meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Valid Driver's License issued in the employee's state of residence
  • Less than 1-year related experience
  • Manual dexterity - ability to use common hand tools and small power equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely move large/bulky equipment
  • Ability to create a safe and efficient work environment, OSHA – 6S – Infection Control
  • Ability to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability
  • Ability to take Fresenius Medical Care maintains a drug-free workplace in accordance with applicable federal and state laws

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in electronics / biomedical technology
  • Prior experience working in a mechanical, automotive, or construction industry, dialysis, or medical technical setting
