Job Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems while documenting all repairs and maintenance activities. Manage inventory of service parts, including receiving deliveries, conducting counts, and transporting goods between clinics. Perform initial and annual verification of patient care staff techniques for water system testing and conduct daily, weekly, and monthly trend analysis on the water system. Collaborate with facility staff to ensure regulatory and OSHA requirements are met and participate in monthly technical and regulatory meetings. Provide scheduled after-hour technical on-call coverage as needed. Complete all required technical training programs within 24 months of service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid Driver's License issued in the employee's state of residence
- Less than 1-year related experience
- Manual dexterity - ability to use common hand tools and small power equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely move large/bulky equipment
- Ability to create a safe and efficient work environment, OSHA – 6S – Infection Control
- Ability to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability
- Ability to take Fresenius Medical Care maintains a drug-free workplace in accordance with applicable federal and state laws
Desired Qualifications
- Associate Degree in electronics / biomedical technology
- Prior experience working in a mechanical, automotive, or construction industry, dialysis, or medical technical setting
