Job Summary
Perform performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety checks, and calibrate complex biomedical equipment at client hospital sites. Repair, install, and verify equipment functionality while documenting repairs and managing subcontractor activities. Maintain accurate equipment databases, inventory records, and regulatory compliance documentation. Build customer relationships by discussing equipment status with clinicians and providing technical advice on safe operation. Schedule visits to regional sites with up to 75% travel required; work remotely 25% of the time. Requires a valid driver's license, complex computer skills, and minimum three years of clinical engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment
- Valid driver's license
- Complex computer skills, including the ability to administrate a system, interpret error codes, defragment hard-drives, replace power supplies, interpret computer codes, and apply networking concepts
- Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong written, verbal, and presentational communication skills
- 2 year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent experience
- TRIMEDX Trained Certification or completed an equivalent biomedical related certification program (if degree requirement is waived)
- Ability to travel up to 75%
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
