Job Summary
Evaluate complex biomedical equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs at hospital locations in Wichita, KS. Perform planned maintenance, safety inspections, and maintain effective customer relations while documenting all repair actions and submitting reports. Lead, instruct, and assist teammates on basic and complex repairs, manage vendor service delivery, and ensure proper care of spares and calibration. Share on-call and pager responsibility for critical issues, including weekends and after-hours coverage as necessary. Maintain approved parts inventory and enhance technical knowledge of current standards and codes.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment
- equivalent military education
- 2+ years of experience servicing electrical or mechanical equipment
- High School Diploma/GED
- 4+ years of experience servicing medical equipment
- Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy to understand manner
- Willingness to be available after hours
- Willingness to work a rotating On-Call schedule
- Willingness to work weekends
- ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs unassisted
- ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time
- ability to reach at, above and below shoulder level
- ability to flex/extend neck
- good hand and finger dexterity
- Specific vision abilities including color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception
- legally authorized to work in the United States
- successful completion of a drug screen
